Our first visit at The Corona Haunt did not disappoint.  The maze is called Tales of Halloween because it embodies monsters and characters best known in traditional Halloween lore inside the maze.  The maze utilizes the entire side walkway, backyard and garage of the home.  Once you enter this “Halloween Town”, you descend into darkness but in a very fun manner.  The sets looked spooky but friendly enough for us to just let our guards down slightly.  But as soon as we did; BAM, out pops a jump scare!

This walk-through is a definite must-see if visiting or residing in the IE.  This will definitely be on our list as a returning favorite for the future.  Tip: An $8 donation via their site gets you into the fast lane.

Pirates of Cindy Court

A returning pirates yard display with effects and animation. This one is always a head-turner.  Countless vehicles had to park and get out of their cars to get a closer look to the details.

Darren Talmadge built yet another impressive haunt with a realistic looking facade and interior.  An actual walk-through this year; the maze started off inside a rather large dining room, so large that haunt-goers may think that it is part of his actual house!  With an actual medium sized dining table and a real radio/sound system playing eerie tunes from olden days, it made us feel like we were in an actual haunted house.

As we explored the rest of the home, grisly scenes populate one after another paired with well-timed pop-up surprises and effects both automated and non-automated.  The kitchen felt like an actual kitchen because of its size, it even had a real full-sized fridge.  The hallway was the size of one from a small home, with creepy portraits on the wall.  The bedroom contained enough space where they could rent it out to fans that are into a themed AirBnBs.  Haydenville Haunter’s sets have always been a favorite of ours as we always felt like we were part of the theme.  If you plan to visit, pay attention to the radio in the photo-op; located on the right side of the maze entrance.

Maze of Mayhem
21605 Alcorn Dr, Moreno Valley
October 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 28-31, 7-10pm

Maze of Mayhem returns with an interactive yard display.  Though they are typically a maze, Mike, the proprietor opted for a display once again this year but one that is a lot more grand than last year.  This property is big enough to house a large cemetery to the left, the interactive display in the middle and a pumpkin patch on the right.
